In this work I want to remind us of our essence, to remind us of ourselves through familiar images. The classic Russian winter landscape contrasts in its magnificence with the monumental, red hot, spinning heater. The calming smoothness of the movement of the reflector is combined with a backing track of church singing. The falling snow is a metaphor for human souls, and the conflict that arises between these images reminds us of what is essential, what is eternal, what is unalterable. The all-embracing, caring heat, warming, calming and uniting people. Remaining after us for some time, it recalls our presence, the transient nature of our existence. This video is contemplation, a revelation from the subconsciousness of something deep and important, an awakening from a long sleep, like a song from distant childhood. It is a dialogue on warmth, warmth that is physically tangible and spiritual warmth. We have cozily surrounded our lives with artificial warmth.
